You’re looking for a midwife who does things a bit differently from what you’ve seen before…

Someone who wants you to be deeply nourished, to feel confident in your choices, and to direct your own birth experience.

My midwifery care focuses on your autonomy and preserves your God-given right to birth in the way that you were designed to do.

I believe that physiological birth is the revolution that women long for and deserve.

My interest in autonomous birthing, and eventually birth work, slowly snuck its way into my life. With each birth of my own children, I grew a little more, learned more about myself, and started to question the mainstream narrative more and more.

By my third baby’s birth — my first unmedicated birth — I found myself with a burning desire for other women to feel what I felt through that experience.

I want every woman to know that she is capable of doing hard things, and to have the opportunity to live and experience life in a new and liberated way.

“My birth experience with Kirsten was truly life changing. When I had questions or concerns she was right there digging to find answers. Although her and her team were prepared to help in any way, her approach to my birth was very hands off, completely trusting my intuition, body and baby to do what it needed to do. This was ultimately the most empowering experience. When I had doubts or concerns she redirected me to my intuition. I’ve never felt so confident and placed so much trust in the divine experience of birth.

I’m beyond grateful for Kirsten and her wonderful team for helping me see the beauty and power behind being a woman and for being so attentive and supportive to me through this process.”

My midwifery journey began with questioning everything I thought I knew about birth.

I began my birth work journey in 2016, attending births of family members and friends. I completed a physiological birth mentorship in 2021 that transformed my whole view of what was possible with pregnancy and birth. I apprenticed with various midwives over the years, which helped me to learn valuable perspectives and skills on what I did and did not want to include in my midwifery practice. I am so grateful for all of my teachers and the valuable lessons I learned with each one.

I completed a comprehensive midwifery training program through Indie Birth Midwifery School from 2022-2024, which helped me to gain deeper knowledge about midwifery skills from a physiology-first perspective. Throughout my journey, I have had the privilege to further my education in Bereavement Support, VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean), Doula training, Resolving Shoulder Dystocia training, Birth Assistant training, as well as NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation) certification.

The most informative parts of my training was developing relationships with the beautiful women I have been honored to serve, as well as my own empowering experiences of birth and mothering. I am so honored to get to do this work and to walk with God in this way. The challenges of this work are great, the rewards are infinite, and I deeply love the women I serve.

When I’m not supporting women through their births, I love to spend time with my husband who I’ve been married to for 16 years, and my 5 beautiful free-ranged children. I live in the farmlands and foothills in Utah County. I love to read for fun, vacation to my happy place, Lake Powell, and get out in nature as much as possible. I am a follower of Jesus Christ and depend on him for everything.
